Speaking of doing stuff...

I am actually still doing stuff, really I am

So yeah, I haven't updated the sites' look, but I have still been doing stuff and uploading it to the background. It's amazing how time can fly by.
Since my last update I've done another comic, and have started my second year of Uni going for my Bachelor of Fine Arts.

I hate web design. I hate it so very very much

I've done a redesign. In fact I did it back in February, but I just haven't implemented it due to the concerns about dead links and what not. Plus I just really hate web design.
I have been doing stuff though. I just finshed the Comikaze 24. Which means that I did a 24 page comic in 24 hours. I am a little tired at the moment. A PDF will be up soon. I've also been going to some life drawing sessions, the results will be up when I get a new scanner.
Which reminds me, I've redrawn and shaded my second comic to make it look drastically different to the PDF available for free, and have printed some copies. They will be for sale soon, so if you are interested in picking one up, check back soon. I'll be doing the same thing to 'A Bird wih Crosed Wires' and my new one (title to be decided for now it's 'Factory V1.0').

New year, new attempts

Ended up trying something I hadn't done in awhile; painting!
I ended up doing a series of three portraits, two done in acrylic (which I haven't used in about 7 years) and one in water colour (a medium that I've never actually used before and found to be quite difficult).



Also tried something else new. I found a place that sold blank babushka dolls and tried doing my hand at painting them. Had it not been for the measly hour I had to do all three, I think I would have liked it more.

On another note, I plan on updating the site layout in the next month or so and start doing more regular updates (I'm thinking by the end of Sunday each week). So... here's hoping that I can hold myself that. I know I haven't been the best at keeping myself to timelines.

Finally got something new. I feel good about that.
I did this comic during the 24 Hour Comic the weekend of October 18-19, but I had to redo them on my computer as the markers died on me while doing the comic.
I must say that I preferred the effect of the markers when they worked, but I did learn quite a bit about the tablet as this was the first drawing thing that I did on it.
I'm not going to bother publishing this one like I did the last. Seeing as to how I have a stash of about 60 or so copies of the one I did last year. So enjoy reading it for free.

wow

It has been a long time since my last update. Tardy I know. Haven't really done too much of anything in the meantime either. I will be doing the 24 hour comic again this year, that'll be in October. I'm thinking at that point, when I post it on here, I'll also be updating the look of the site a bit. Some stuff still looks a little too rough for my liking.
By the way, something I am very happy to see, My buddy Barnaby finally got his comic out. You can check it out on his site, or you can order it from Amazon (you can also ask you local comic store). It's really good stuff.

last before I go away

Since I didn't do one for last week, and that I'll be away for a couple of weeks, figured I'd make this one a bit bigger then normal.

a leap year special... does that mean that the next update will be in four years?

So yeah, I was looking through my book with my contours, and realized that the last page in it was from notes I made while doing the 24 Hour Comic. Too long. So I did two (the third was still sitting unloved in the book) to try to make up for that.
Oh yeah, I also actually added stuff to the contact page, including links to nice stuff to see on the interweb.



Was led to something fantastic this week. A Garfield comic that is actually funny, no, not funny, hysterical, all because it doesn't have Garfield in it. Feel free to check out Garfield Minus Garfield.

first in awhile

Been awhile. Haven't been too motivated of late. Plus, Mario Galaxy has taken over my life. Figured I'll but up a bit extra to make up for it.

getting there

Still in progress, but I'm tossing ideas around. I do believe that some images are needed, so henceforth, new work will be thumbnailed on here, as well as in their respective catagories. Speaking of which, you can find these in the sketch section.

It took awhile to get my ass in gear, but I finally have something real up. It's not complete, but I do have stuff up in the contour and other section. Enjoy.

a new beginning
